Shaft and structure
You need either a masonry/RCC shaft to approved dimensions or clear floor area for a self-supporting structural enclosure. Floor openings at each landing must be cut, edge-protected and dimensionally correct as per the approved general arrangement drawing.
Wall fixing points must be able to take the guide rail bracket loads we specify in the drawing.
Pit and headroom
The pit must be to the agreed depth, level, waterproofed and free of standing water. Headroom above the top landing must match the drawing; where it cannot, the design must be revised before fabrication, not during erection.
Electrical supply
A dedicated three-phase supply with earthing, an isolator near the power pack or drive location and adequate lighting in the shaft and landing areas should be available before commissioning.
Access and safety during erection
Clear access for material unloading near the shaft, space for staging components, and permission for hot work where welding is involved. Barricading at all floor openings should stay in place until the landing doors are fitted.
Commissioning and handover
We test travel at each landing, verify interlocks, limits, overload protection and emergency stops, run a load test, and hand over drawings, an operation and maintenance manual and operator familiarisation.
All dimensions and provisions remain subject to site conditions and engineering assessment for your specific building.
