Goods Lift Maintenance Guide and AMC Checklist

Most goods lift breakdowns trace back to routine items — oil condition, worn interlocks, loose fasteners or ignored limit switches. A short, disciplined schedule prevents nearly all of them.

Daily operator checks

Confirm landing gates close and interlock, emergency stops are accessible, the platform is clean and free of loose material, and the load plate is legible. Report any unusual noise, jerk or drift immediately.

Monthly checks

Inspect guide rails and rollers, grease as specified, check hydraulic hoses and fittings for seepage or check ropes and chains for wear, verify limit switch operation, and examine control panel connections for heating or looseness.

Half-yearly and annual work

Check hydraulic oil condition and replace as recommended, test overload protection and anti-fall devices, examine structural welds and fasteners, test the manual lowering arrangement, and carry out a load test with documentation.

Common causes of downtime

Overloading, damaged interlocks from careless trolley loading, water ingress into the pit, contaminated hydraulic oil and skipped greasing account for the majority of calls we attend.

What our AMC covers

Scheduled preventive visits, inspection reports, safety device testing, priority breakdown attendance and spares support. Scope and visit frequency are agreed for each site depending on duty and environment.
