Write the duty down first
Document heaviest load, largest item dimensions, number of movements per day, landings served, loading method and hours of operation. This single page is what separates comparable quotations from guesswork.
Decide between platform, cabin and enclosure types
A simple guarded platform works well inside a factory. An enclosed cabin with landing doors is preferable in commercial buildings, where appearance, dust and access control matter. Mesh enclosures suit dusty godowns where visibility helps supervision.
Compare on the specification, not only the price
Check the steel sections used, guide rail type, drive rating, door and interlock type, safety devices included, paint system and what installation, testing and documentation are covered in the price.
Confirm whether erection, load testing, drawings and operator training are included or charged separately.
Plan maintenance from day one
Ask for the recommended maintenance schedule and typical spares list before ordering. An annual maintenance contract signed at the time of purchase usually delivers better uptime than one arranged after the first breakdown.
Talk to an engineer before you finalise
Send us your building drawings and duty sheet. We will come back with a recommended configuration, a general arrangement drawing and a written quotation — with the final configuration clearly stated as subject to site conditions and engineering assessment.
