Commercial & Warehouse Goods Lift
CraneWorks, the material handling division of KMV Resources Private Limited, supplies, manufactures and installs customised goods lifts for warehouses, factories and commercial buildings across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha — from 500 kg service lifts to 5 Ton industrial platforms, engineered around your building.

What we deliver
Goods lift supply, manufacturing and installation
Every goods lift is engineered after a site assessment — we size the platform, drive and shaft around your floor levels, loading method and duty, then fabricate, erect, test and maintain it.
- Hydraulic and electric (rope / chain) drive options
- Capacities from 500 kg to 5 Ton and above on request
- Custom platform and cabin sizes for pallets, trolleys and drums
- Interlocked landing doors, gates and full shaft enclosure
- Overload protection, limit switches and anti-fall devices
- Emergency stop at every landing with manual lowering provision
- Structural shafts where no masonry shaft exists
- Retrofit installation inside existing buildings

Capacities
Goods lift capacity range — 500 kg to 5 Ton
Final capacity, platform size and travel height are confirmed after a site assessment, as the configuration depends on your building structure and load pattern.
500 kg
Kitchens, showrooms, small godowns and light cartons
1 Ton
Warehouse pallets, retail stock and workshop tooling
1.5 Ton
Mixed pallet and drum handling in factories
2 Ton
Heavier pallets, bagged material and trolley loading
3 Ton
Industrial components, coils and machine parts
5 Ton
Heavy plant material, dies and bulk loads
Hydraulic vs electric
Choosing the right drive for your building
Hydraulic goods lift
Power pack and cylinder drive. Best for two to three landings, moderate travel, low-headroom shafts and shallow pits. Smooth, controlled movement and simple maintenance.
Electric goods lift
Rope or chain drive with a geared machine. Suited to taller buildings, more landings and frequent cycling through the shift, with faster travel speeds.

FAQ
Goods lift questions buyers ask
What is a goods lift?
A goods lift — also called a material lift, cargo lift or goods elevator — is a vertical lifting platform used to move materials, pallets, trolleys and equipment between floors of a warehouse, factory or commercial building. It is designed for goods, not for passenger transport.
What capacities of goods lift can CraneWorks supply?
We commonly engineer goods lifts in 500 kg, 1 Ton, 1.5 Ton, 2 Ton, 3 Ton and 5 Ton ratings. Capacity, platform size, travel and duty are finalised after a site assessment, as the final configuration depends on your building structure and load pattern.
What is the difference between a hydraulic and an electric goods lift?
A hydraulic goods lift uses a power pack and cylinder, suits lower travel heights and low-headroom shafts, and gives smooth, controlled movement. An electric (traction or rope/chain drive) goods lift suits taller buildings, more floors and higher-frequency operation. We recommend one after reviewing travel height, cycles per hour and shaft dimensions.
Can a goods lift be installed in an existing building?
Yes, in most cases. We survey the available shaft or open area, check headroom, pit depth, floor openings and power supply, and design the structure to fit. Where a masonry shaft is not available, a self-supporting structural enclosure can be provided.
How many floors can a goods lift serve?
Typically two to six landings for commercial and warehouse applications. The practical limit depends on the drive type, travel height and building structure, and is confirmed during engineering.
What safety features are included?
Depending on the configuration these include interlocked landing doors or gates, overload protection, upper and lower limit switches, emergency stop at each landing, anti-fall or rupture-protection devices, manual lowering provision and an enclosed shaft or guarding.
Can a person travel on a goods lift?
No. A goods lift is designed and signposted for materials only. If people need to travel between floors, a passenger or goods-cum-passenger lift with the applicable statutory approvals is required.
What information do you need to quote a goods lift?
Capacity required, number of floors and landings, total lift height, platform or cabin size, the type of load being handled, whether loading is by trolley, pallet truck or manual, available shaft dimensions and the site location.
Do you handle installation and after-sales service?
Yes. We handle fabrication, site erection, commissioning, testing and operator familiarisation, and offer annual maintenance contracts covering periodic inspection, hydraulic and electrical checks and breakdown support.
How long does a goods lift project take?
Lead time depends on capacity, travel, customisation and civil readiness. We confirm a realistic schedule after the site survey and drawing approval, as fabrication cannot start until the shaft dimensions are frozen.
